Getting There

Flying up the dazzling Queensland coastline, glimpse tiny deserted islands, the pristine white sails of the occasional yacht and a kaleidoscope of aquamarine along the fringing coral reefs. Before long, the vast tropical lushness of the World Heritage listed Daintree Rainforest unfolds below, and with a short outback drive and a gentle cruise downriver and across Weary Bay, you are welcomed into the soothing oasis that is Bloomfield.

Combining fresh, local ingredients, a dash of Aussie authenticity and plenty of creative flair, Bloomfield's chefs inspire even the most discerning palate. Start your day with a buffet of fresh fruit and juices, homemade pastries and hot dishes prepared to order. Lunch is a delicious set menu or a gourmet picnic for those out on an excursion, while the set evening menu is a tantalising 3 course dinner or a sumptuous barbecue buffet encompassing the finest international cuisine and local delicacies, from spicy Asian style creations to succulent North Queensland seafood. All meals are served in the alfresco dining room overlooking the pool and gardens, in an informal dinner party atmosphere or you can choose to dine privately in your own gazebo overlooking Weary Bay.

Individually designed natural timber guest rooms and retreats encircle the main lodge with each site specially chosen for its naturally beautiful surroundings. Prices

Bloomfield represents superb value for money. Without exception, previous guests agree that a minimum stay of 4 nights is necessary to avoid missing out on the many unique activities that are part of the Bloomfield experience. Costs are therefore based on stays of between 4 and 7 nights.
